Dresden
Risen from the Ashes

Been there recently?

As Hans Christian Anderson described Dresden, “In the character of Dresden, Mediterranean gaiety, Slavic calm and German restraint are felt.”

Florence on the Elbe, a treasure in a snuffbox, a city of museums that keeps unique exhibits, unique sculptures and paintings by famous artists Titian, Rubens, Rembrandt and the painting of the Italian painter Raphael Santi “Sistine Madonna, as well as a green diamond of 41 carats, which is the only large an example of a diamond of this variety.

We will see the temple in which the heart of the most famous Saxon ruler with incredible physical strength, the patron of women’s hearts Augustus the Strong is kept. They say that his heart still beats excitedly as soon as a beautiful woman enters the temple.

And entering the historical cellars of a medieval palace, you will not only find yourself in the 18th century, in the world of August the strong, where Johan Fiedrich Bettrger unraveled the mystery of porcelain and invented “white gold”, but you will also taste German, national cuisine, draft beer or a glass of Saxon wine.
On the way to Dresden we will visit
Saxon Switzerland. A hilly climbing area and national park around the Elbe valley south-east of Dresden. Together with the Bohemian Switzerland in the Czech Republic it forms the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. You will fall in love with these picturesque scenarios and magnificent views.

My husband and I came to Berlin and Prague for a vacations to see the Christmas markets. We booked a trip from Prague to visit Dresden and Saxson Switzerland.
We were so lucky to be host by our excellent tour Guide Natalie Thonova . We had scheduled a hotel pickup and she was right on like even that it was snowing.
She explained all the history of the sites to visit and areas that we passed by during our over 2 hours driving.
She is very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to provide us with the best experience possible. She gave us excellent recommendations for the rest of our stay in Prague. We recommend her 100% and are looking forward to von back and book other experiences with her.
